The shipbuilding industry in Szczecin is gradually recovering after closure of Stocznia Szczecińska. National renewal programs have been announced to restore Poland's former maritime strength, creating the largest shipbuilding hub in the Baltic region.

Szczeciński Park Przemysłowy was established on a 45-hectare site of the former shipyard. The Szafir plasma-oxygen CNC cutting machine by Eckert operates within the industrial park, featuring a 3000 mm × 24000 mm work table.
